As a Montana native and Griz alumnae, McKennah is passionate for helping both UM and non-UM students build intercultural awareness and worldly empathy as they grow into global citizens.
McKennah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with a minor in German Studies and a certificate in Entertainment Management from the University of Montana in 2017. After graduation, she obtained her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification through the International TEFL Academy.
After a month-long immersion program in high school and a semester abroad junior year of college -- both in Germany --, McKennah became profoundly connected to working within the international realm. Taking on the roles of an on-campus Student Ambassador for the worldwide nonprofit organization ISEP (International Exchange Programs), a Young Ambassador for the scholarly behemoth DAAD (German Academic Exchange Services), an au pair in Germany, and the Media & Operations intern at the German Center for Research and Innovation within the German Consulate in New York City, McKennah has had and continues to have profound motivation to promote global conversations and assist individuals with pursuing their own adventure abroad!
McKennah enjoys practicing German, wandering unfamiliar places, attending local events and live music shows, and pretending to be good at Jeopardy.
