The Cities
The city of Talca, located in central Chile, is the capital of the Maule Region.  It has great historical importance as the site where Bernardo O’Higgins proclaimed independence for Chile in 1818.  The area is also famous for its delicious fruits.
Located just 50 kilometers north of Talca, Curico is a progressive small city in Chile, nicknamed, “city of cakes”, for its delicious sweet specialty.  There are many beautiful attractions inside the city.  Don’t miss the Iglesia San Francisco, or the many cherry and apple orchards.
Santiago is the capital city of Chile, and one of the biggest South American cities.  Museums, arts, and food are never in short supply in this exhilarating city.  The unique Chilean cuisine of the Bellavista area is a taste not to be missed.  The Andes mountains, nearby all three cities, provide outdoor activities galore, including trekking, kayaking, climbing, horseback riding, and skiing.  Chile offers the best of all worlds, beaches and mountains, volcanoes and glaciers, and more!
