Bangkok University International College (BUIC) is located in the heart of Thailand’s biggest city, Bangkok. It is the largest private, non-profit university in Thailand, founded in 1962, with the mission to provide innovative and practical studies for its international student body. There are more than 20,000 students enrolled, of which 600 are international students from over 30 countries worldwide. The university has two campuses, though the central city campus, home to BUIC, is supremely located for students to explore the city.

English is the language of instruction at BU, and classes are available in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Communication Arts, Graphics & Mlutimedia and Hotel & Tourism. Programs offered in English can be found at: http://www.bu.ac.th/eng/admission-international-programs-exposure.html. Thai language classes also are offered for exchange students that include many field trips.
Housing & Meals
Exchange students at BU stay in single or double occupancy off-campus apartments, located within walking distance from campus. Lunch is available at BU’s cafeteria, and other meals can be purchased from nearby restaurants and cafes.
Students pay their regular tuition to UM and their room and board to BU. Rent typically costs between THB6,000 and THB15,000 per month. Food costs are approximately THB15,000 per month, and books cost about THB3,000 per semester. A student visa for study in Thailand costs US$50. UM financial aid can be applied to tuition, living and travel expenses while on this program.
Students will register for classes upon arrival at BU. Students should plan to enroll in 15 credits per semester at BU. UM students must be enrolled as full-time students.
