Aberystwyth University (AU) is a well-balanced university; Arts and Sciences are equally balanced in the curriculum, and there are equal numbers of men and women. One-third of the 6,100 students are from Wales, with the rest coming from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland, and over 80 other countries around the world. The campus itself has been voted #1 for student satisfaction in England and Wales, perhaps due to its various student clubs, sports, live performances, arts, films, and its prime location on the beautiful Welsh coastline.

Housing & Meals
Exchange students live on campus in one of the many dormitories, some of which have kitchens. Students can also purchase meals at the cafeteria for around £2.50. Previous exchange students suggest staying in Rosser Hall, if possible-it is worth the extra expense.
Students pay their regular tuition to UM and their room and board to AU. Dorms cost from £2,565 to £3,555 per semester depending on room type. Meals average £1,800 per semester. UM financial aid can be applied to tuition, living and travel expenses while on this program.
Students will register for classes upon arrival at AU. Students must take a minimum of 60 Aberystwyth credits (three 20-credit classes) per semester which transfers to 15 UM credits per semester.
