Founded in 1939, the Aarhus School of Business (ASB) currently enrolls over 8,000 students, of which 12 percent are international. ASB was first located in downtown Aarhus, Denmark, but because the school grew it was relocated in 1968 to the yellow and red brick buildings of the current campus within a short distance from the University of Aarhus. ASB is an European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accredited institution and is consistently rated as one of the best business schools in Europe.
Danish is the primary language of instruction at Aarhus and English is the secondary language. ASB offers business administration and business communication courses in English. A list of courses taught in English is published every semester at: http://www.au.dk/en/exchange/studyingatau/studyingatau/
Housing & Meals
Exchange students are guaranteed housing at ASB through their housing program. Most rooms offered are in student residence halls or other accommodation facilities (apartment, house).
Exchange students pay their regular tuition to UM, and their room and board in Denmark. The cost of living in Denmark is relatively higher than in other European countries. Students should expect to pay between 1,900-3,200 Danish kroner (DKK) per month for accommodation, DKK 1,700-2,400 for food, and at least DKK 1,000 per semester for books. A student visa for Denmark costs US$90. Financial aid can be applied towards living and travel expenses while on exchange.
Students will register for their classes upon arrival at ASB. ASB uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Students should enroll in 30 ECTS credits per semester which is equivalent to 15 UM credits. The minimum full-time load at ASB is 24 ECTS.
